Marshgate Clubs

Please see below a description of the After School Clubs taking place at Marshgate Primary School during the Summer Term. Please note that bookings open at noon on Wednesday 22nd March.

KS1 Gymnastics – The children will have an excellent opportunity to develop an understanding of fundamental gymnastics skills. The sessions will start with creating shapes, balances and paired-partner holds. The children will then progress to using apparatus and movements to create their own sequences with the opportunity to perform these within their groups.

KS1 Multi Sports – This is a great After School Club that provides the children with the opportunity to engage in a wide range of Sports. These include Dodgeball, Handball, Football, Athletics and many more. These session are open to children of all abilities and will enable the children to develop their skills within a fun and inclusive environment.

KS2 Athletics – The children will complete a wide range of track and field events in a fun and enjoyable environment. The topics covered will include events such Sprint Races, Baton Relays, Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump and Javelin. This is a fantastic After School Club for budding Athletes.

KS2 Street Dance – Each term the children will focus on a different style of Hiphop Dance such as Grooving, Break Dance, Lockin’ and House. The children are taught the techniques of each style and are given opportunities to choreograph their own dance routines to demonstrate what they have learnt.

KS2 Gymnastics – This After School allows children to demonstrate the skills that they have learnt each week and apply them by performing a creative sequence. This is an inclusive session which accommodates for learners of all ability ranging from creative moments and balances to completing Key Steps Floor, Body Management and Vault routines.

KS2 Cricket – The Cricket After School Club will enable the children to develop the core skills of Cricket through Batting, Bowling and Fielding activities. The children will perform these skills within fun game-based activities. These sessions are open to children of all abilities and is a fantastic club for young Cricketers.

KS2 Tennis – The Tennis After School Club allows the children to implement their learnt skills into Mini Matches and Competitions. This is a great After School Club for young budding Tennis players and will allow the children to develop their skills through fun and enjoyable sessions.
